Dr. Michael McNerney, Ph.D., P.E. is a retired FAA Airport Engineering Branch Manager AAS- 100. He has seventeen years of experience as an Air Force Civil Engineer and Pilot with over 3000 hours. He has nine years of experience as AECOM Associate Vice President for Aviation and Pavement Management.

Dr McNerney currently teaches Airport Engineering and Airport Operations, Safety and Maintenance Courses at The University of Texas at Arlington and short courses at UTA continuing education in Airport Pavement, Airport Planning, and Airport Engineering and Management. Dr McNerney has ten years’ experience as Research Engineer and adjunct faculty at The University of Texas at Austin working with TxDOT Aviation.

Dr McNerney received the highest aviation award from American Society of Civil Engineers, the 2011 Robert Horojeff Award in recognition of outstanding achievements and contributions to the advancement of the field of air transportation engineering.
